PSV Make Fresh Contact With Arsenal-Bound Nigerian Wonderkid Omidiji
Published: February 21, 2017
Dutch Eredivisie powerhouse PSV Eindhoven have made fresh enquiries about signing Sparta Rotterdam trainee Lateef Omidiji Jnr.
The 13-year-old striker attracted interest from Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City before his father reached an agreement with Arsenal, but this has not deterred PSV from trying to sign him.
“I know besides Ajax that PSV have also made contact with Lateef Jr. What we’ve all concluded is that he will be a big talent in the future, ’’ a PSV insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
American-born Omidiji will travel to London this summer to train with the youth team of Arsenal.
Whatever agreement his representatives reached with the Gunners will be activated when he attains the age of majority.
