Nigeria Best Paid Player : Rohr Congratulated Me After My Move To China, Never Tried To Influence Me
Published: February 27, 2017
Former Watford striker Odion Ighalo has moved quickly to set the record straight regarding reports in the local media which claimed that Super Eagles coach Rohr advised him not to join Changchun Yatai F.C last month.
The German manager informed Ighalo that he is in his plans so long as he continues to deliver the goods for his new employer.
“There is nothing like that, he (Rohr) only congratulated me few days after my move and said he heard what the media are saying, ” said Ighalo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He told me that as long as I keep doing well I still have a place in the Super Eagles, that’s all.
“I am a man of my own, nobody influenced my decision to move to China. I do best what is best for my career and family.”
Nigeria’s best paid professional footballer has scored three goals for Changchun Yatai F.C in pre-season since completing his move from the Hornets.
