Arsenal, Chelsea, Club Brugge Transfer Target Onyekuru Tallies 20th Goal Of The Season
Published: May 07, 2017
Highly-coveted Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru scored what turned out to be a consolation goal in Eupen's 2-1 loss to Racing Genk in the Belgian First Division A playoffs on Sunday.
Onyekuru punished some slack defending from the home team to fire past goalkeeper Matthew Ryan after 76 minutes.
The 19-year-old's second half strike took his tally to 20 goals in all competitions for his modest Belgian club.
The Aspire Academy product netted 12 goals in the regular season, 2 in the Beker van Belgie and reached a total of six goals in the Europa League playoffs with his goal today against the opponents from Limburg.
Anderlecht, Club Brugge, Everton, Southampton, Bournemouth and Liverpool are believed to have shown interest in Onyekuru, and he has been scouted by Arsenal and Chelsea this season.
