Ex-Arsenal Youth-Teamer Robson-Kanu Reacts After Scoring Against Manchester City
Published: May 17, 2017
Hal Robson-Kanu was delighted to score his third Premier League goal of the season against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night, and has said that West Brom gave the Citizens a run for their money but were unlucky to lose.
The Wales international netted in the 87th minute after a great cross from Cameroon international Allan Nyom.
''It's always nice to score goals but it's nicer to win games. We set up to try and stop what is undoubtedly world class opposition,'' said Kanu to West Brom's official website.
"But unfortunately they got two quick goals and it was an uphill battle from there.
"We fought until the end and showed great desire but it just wasn't to be tonight."
Robson-Kanu lists Arsenal, Reading, Southend United and Swindon Town among his former clubs.
