Published: May 24, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Porto loanee Mikel Agu has promised to link up with the Super Eagles squad at their training camp in Corsica on Wednesday.
The central midfielder was still in Portugal this morning, and revealed that he couldn't join the team on Tuesday because of pressing commitments.
Mikel has been rewarded with a maiden call-up to the national team after an outstanding season for Vitória Setúbal FC, in which he made 25 starts in the Primeira Liga.
The 23-year-old trained with the Nigerian Olympic National Team last year until he was ordered to return to Portugal by Porto, and eventually missed out on the roster.
Meanwhile, as at 1147 hours on Wednesday, only twelve players have reported for international duty.
