What Arsenal coach Arteta said about Harriman-Annous ahead of trip to Burnley

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta spoke highly of England U18 international of Nigerian descent Andre Harriman-Annous during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the Premier League game against Burnley at Turf Moor.

The Hale End Academy graduate recently earned a starting role and featured for 77 minutes as the Gunners secured a 2–0 victory, advancing to the quarterfinals of the competition.

Arteta highlighted the importance of creating memorable moments for young players stepping into senior football.

He said, according to the official webpage of the Gunners:  "That's something that I discuss with the players and make sure that when Andre [Harriman-Annous] thinks about this day, he knows the exact date, the team, the hour, who he played next to and what actually happened that day, because that's with you for the rest of your life and we are all responsible to make that day, that night very, very special for him."

The coach’s comments reflect Arsenal’s commitment to nurturing academy talent while integrating them into competitive matches.

Harriman-Annous’s performance showcased his technical ability and composure, reinforcing the club’s philosophy of blending youth and experience to strengthen the squad.

As the Gunners prepare to face Burnley, Arteta’s praise signals that the promising academy graduate is seen as a valuable asset in Arsenal’s long-term plans.
