Published: May 25, 2017
The Nigeria Football Federation have explored the possibility of the Super Eagles facing the Colombian national team ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in August, but their efforts were not fruitful.
NFF match agent Jairo Pachon explained that the proposed friendly with Colombia has not yet materialized because the South Americans have a jam-packed schedule of international fixtures.
''The friendlies is an opportunity to get the team together and prepare for the qualifier in June, '' Pachon told Brila FM.
''Colombia would have loved a friendly against the Super Eagles , but the fixtures are packed.
''Because of the world cup qualifiers in August we'd be looking at options for a friendly within a 5-hour flight.''
David Ospina (Arsenal), Juan Cuadrado (Juventus) and James RodrÃguez (Real Madrid) are some of the big names that turn out for La Tricolor.
