NFF Take Concrete Steps To Cap Arsenal Linked Starlet, Invite Him To AFCON Qualifier Vs RSA

The Nigeria Football Federation have taken concrete steps to cap the Arsenal linked wonderkid Lateef Omidiji Jnr ahead of the United States and Netherlands, and plan to present him to the public next Saturday before the national team take on South Africa in an African Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.
It can be exclusively revealed that the Feyenoord striker has been contacted to represent the United States U15 squad ahead of the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup with a big announcement to be made in the coming days , but the Nigerian Federation are hoping to beat the Americans to this one.
''The Nigerian Federation have invited Lateef for the Eagles game in Uyo next weekend, they want to present him to the media and fans before the game, '' a top source close to the NFF told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''He is supposed to go to a USA U15 camp this summer, end of June or early July, but he has not decided yet. He may be in Nigeria this Wednesday if he accepts the offer from the NFF.
''USA are looking at him for the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup. USA plan ahead, they are more strategic, they want to build the team around him. The NFF are talking about the same thing.''
Omidiji trained with the United States U14 squad in California in November 2016 and impressed the coaching staff.
