Published: June 03, 2017
Former Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike returned to scoring ways as Fenerbahçe beat Adanaspor 3-1 on the final day of the season in the Turkish Super Lig.
The ex-West Ham striker came off the bench in the 74th minute before wrapping up the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time when his deflected effort went past goalkeeper Egribayat.
Emenike had not scored for the Yellow Canaries for more than seven months before finding the net today at 5 Ocak Fatih Terim Stadium.
Elsewhere, in the Chinese Super League both Obafemi Martins and Brown Ideye registered their names on the scoresheet in Tianjin Teda's home win over Shanghai Shenhua on Friday.
The former Newcastle United star's big moment came when he opened the scoring in the 11th minute, his fourth goal in six games, but Ideye equalized in the 36th minute before grabbing the winner on 89 minutes.
The three aforementioned strikers are among Nigeria's top ten earners abroad playing in a top division.
