Super Eagles Start Final Phase Of Preparations On Monday Ahead Of Battle Of Uyo

The national team will resume preparations for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa on Monday, June 5, the Nigerian Federation have announced through official channels.
The Super Eagles will check out of their Bolton White Apartment camp on Monday for Uyo, where they will train for five days before the match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
A number of players did not return with the squad from the French capital on Saturday because they stayed back to attend the wedding of stand-in skipper Elderson Echiejile, who got married to Vwemo Ziregbe.
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr announced a 23-man squad for the AFCON qualifier last week, leaving out his influential skipper John Obi Mikel, who is recovering from injury, Odion Ighalo, Brown Ideye and Chelsea's Victor Moses.
A pre-match media parley will take place on Thursday, June 8, at Le Meridien Hotel, Uyo at 12pm.
