Done Deal: Ajax Wonderkid, Linked With Manchester United, Joins New Mikel At Chelsea
Published: July 04, 2017
Chelsea are on the verge of confirming the signing of Ajax wonderkid Daishawn Redan.
Pictures have surfaced on Twitter showing the striker holding a Chelsea shirt, which confirms earlier reports in the Dutch press that he has agreed terms with the Premier League champions.
Manchester United, RB Leipzig and Manchester City were all linked to Redan, before he decided to continue his career at Stamford Bridge.
Though the youngster is eligible to represent Suriname, he has caps for the Netherlands at U15, U16 and U17 level and has scored more than 20 goals for the teams.
It is envisaged that The Blues will announce the capture of Daishawn Redan when they reveal their new scholars in the coming days.
Redan joins England U18 star of Nigerian descent Tariq Uwakwe, hailed as the new Mikel, in Chelsea U18 squad for the forthcoming season.
