Kelechi Iheanacho Transfer Saga : Leicester City Provide Update
Published: July 29, 2017
Leicester City are hoping to complete the signing of Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho before the close of the window, but manager Craig Shakespeare has admitted that the transfer market has been difficult.
The Nigeria international has agreed personal terms with the Foxes after The Citizens accepted their bid, however, the transfer has not been made official yet, for reasons everyone is aware of.
Speaking to Sky Sports UK, Shakespeare said : ''I'm hoping so (on a deal), but I am like every other manager at the moment.
''I think we all find it frustrating but it is the current market.''
The 20-year-old was linked with moves to teams based in France and Germany before Leicester City won the race for his signature.
Iheanacho's current contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2021.
