Ahead of the start of the Premier League 2, a Manchester United XI recorded an impressive 1-0 win over League One side Oldham Athletic at Sportsdirect.com Park in a pre-season fixture on Tuesday night.
Lagos-born midfielder Tosin Kehinde and Aaron Amadi-Holloway (Oldham Athletic) started for their respective teams, while Matthew Olosunde and central midfielder Chinedu Uche were on the substitutes bench.
The two teams were not able to make the breakthrough in a goalless first half, but the home team ought to have taken the lead through Green on 20 minutes but he fired over the bar from six yards.
The Latics had the ball in the back of the net seven minutes into the second half, but the goal was disallowed as the ball had gone over the byline.
With 13 minutes left to play, Callum Gribbin scored what proved to be winner from close range.
Amadi-Holloway was replaced in the 64th minute, teammate Chinedu Uche came off the bench in the 85th minute.
