England Legend Aims Dig At Manchester United For Not Signing Neymar
Published: August 15, 2017
Former Manchester United and England legend Rio Ferdinand is disappointed that the Red Devils missed out on the signature of ex-Barcelona winger Neymar despite having the financial muscle to compete with PSG.
The Brazil international had been linked with a shift to Manchester United before PSG broke the world transfer record to bring him to the French capital.
"Neymar’s up for £196m… Man United are one of the richest clubs in the world," Ferdinand told his Youtube channel Five.
"I would have loved to have seen him go to Manchester United.
''Neymar in a red Man United shirt? Number 7, woah, or number 11.''
Of the ten most expensive football transfers in history, three players Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and ángel Di María were acquired by Manchester United.
