Chelsea On Kenneth Omeruo : Not A Good Sunday For Him
Published: October 16, 2017
In their weekly review of players on loan at other clubs, Chelsea did not give good ratings to Kenneth Omeruo in the wake of Kasimpasa's 3-2 loss to Sivasspor.
The Nigeria international was not at fault for the first two goals conceded by Kasimpasa, who deployed a high defensive line and were punished at the back.
But on the third goal, Omeruo ought to have done better as he failed to clear properly after a corner from the right was floated into the six-yard box, allowing Djakov to fire home from close range.
Chelsea wrote on their official website : ''It was not a good Sunday for Kenneth Omeruo and the rest of the Kasimpasa defence in Turkey. They conceded three times and went down 3-2 at home to Sivasspor.''
Tammy Abraham and Ola Aina were praised for their performance against Huddersfield Town and Norwich respectively.
Another Nigerian loanee Ike Ugbo was on the bench for the entire duration of Barnsley's 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough.
