Iheanacho On Maiden Goal For Leicester : Expect More Goals From Me
Published: October 25, 2017
Kelechi Iheanacho was pleased to score his first goal in a Leicester City shirt in their 3-1 win over Leeds United in the fourth round of the League Cup on Tuesday, and has insisted that there is plenty more to come.
Since joining the Foxes, the Nigeria international has played 281 minutes in seven matches across all competitions, and his goal and assist against Leeds United was the first time he has contributed to goals, having struggled with his fitness at the start of the season.
''I wanted to take it with my right foot but I wasn’t too sure, so I got it back onto my left foot and put it into the corner,'' Iheanacho told LCFC TV.
''It was a great goal so I’m happy to get a goal and help the team to go to the next round.
''It means a lot to me. I’m happy to get my first goal and I hope there are many more to come in the future.''
