Rohr Wants Mikel Around Eagles, May Fly To Algeria With Squad
Published: November 08, 2017
Contrary to reports, Porto loanee Mikel Agu is still in Rabat and is hoping to travel to Constantine with the Nigeria squad on Thursday.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that the Bursaspor midfielder is nursing a knee injury, which prevented him from training with the squad on Wednesday.
''Mikel is still with the Super Eagles in Rabat as at Wednesday night, Rohr wants him to remain with the team for the two matches against Algeria and Argentina,'' a top source told only allnigeriasoccer.com.
''Rohr wants Mikel to follow the team to Algeria tomorrow, but he talked with Bursaspor and they advised him to return to Turkey.
''They want him to start his treatment on time so that he can come back faster. It hasn't been decided yet when he'll return to Bursaspor, maybe Friday''.
Mikel came off the bench in the last three games played by the Super Eagles, and was in line to start his first game in the World Cup qualifiers if not for his injury.
