Wenger Warns Ahead Of Argentina-Nigeria : Argentina Have Top Class Offensive Players
Published: November 09, 2017
Head Coach of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, has said that he was pleased with the qualification of Argentina, together with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, for the 2018 World Cup.
Argentina, two-time winners of the World Cup, clash with Nigeria in the city of Krasnodar on Tuesday, November 14, and Wenger has revealed that the South Americans have a wealth of attacking talent.
Lionel Messi is a big doubt to be named in the squad to face Nigeria, but Man City star Sergio Aguero, PSG duo Angel Di María and Giovani Lo Celso, and Juventus ace Paulo Dybala are all available for selection.
''I’m personally very happy [to see Messi go to the World Cup],'' Wenger told Arsenal Player.
''If you love football, you love to watch Messi. If you love football, you love Argentina as well.
''They always have top-class offensive players and they are spoilt for talent. Overall, I would say that I would have been sad if Argentina had not gone to the World Cup.''
Messi, Aguero and Dybala have found the net 39 times cumulatively for their European clubs this season.
