Chelsea Loanee Tammy Abraham Debuts For England Senior Team
Published: November 11, 2017
Nigeria Football Federation target Tammy Abraham made his first appearance for England's Men Team in their goalless draw with Germany in an international friendly at the National Stadium in London on Friday night.
The Chelsea product made the Three Lions starting line-up and remained on the turf until the 60th minute when he was replaced by Manchester United wonderkid Marcus Rashford.
In the first half, Abraham had a couple of half-chances to net his maiden goal in an England shirt, he showed flashes of his ability by using his strength and pace though he was starved of service for a large part of the game.
In the second minute, Abraham was close to turning in a pass from Jamie Vardy after England beat Germany's offside trap but somehow missed the ball completely.
The 20-year-old is expected to start on the bench for England in their next international fixture against Brazil at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, November 14.
With England not playing a competitive game until next summer's World Cup, Abraham remains eligible to represent the Super Eagles for the next seven months.
