Tammy Abraham Tipped To Become The Next Big Thing At Chelsea
Published: November 17, 2017
Speaking to the national press in England on Friday, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is backing Tammy Abraham to become one of the stars at Chelsea in the not too distant future.
Chelsea have loaned out the England international for the second consecutive season, this time to a Premier League rival Swansea City, as the Italian couldn't guarantee him regular playing opportunities before the season started.
Abraham has picked up right where he left off last season by contributing to six of the goals scored by the Swans in all competitions, a form which earned him a call-up to the England squad for their November friendlies against Germany and Brazil.
Questioned about loanees Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham, Conte told reporters including the Mirror : '' I think we are talking about two young players, two really good players. Ruben and Tammy will be the future for Chelsea. It is right for them to play regularly.
''I read Ruben’s interview, and he said it was important for his development. It is the same path for Christensen and now he is playing regularly. He is an important player.''
Tammy Abraham joined Chelsea at U8 level and has played twice for the first team in the Premier League.
