Published: November 21, 2017
Three players of Nigerian parentage Tobi Omole, Tolaji Bola and Aaron Eyoma started for the Gunners, England youth-team star Xavier Amaechi was handed a debut at that level following his introduction in the 87th minute, and Folarin Balogun played the last one minute of the contest.
George Byers netted from close range to give the Swans the lead in the fifth minute and Arsenal did not equalize until the 64th minute when Gilmour converted a spot kick.
Two late goals from Byers and Kenji Gorre condemned Arsenal to their fourth loss in the league this season.
The 16-year-old Xavier Amaechi joined Arsenal at the age of twelve and signed a scholarship with the London club in the summer of 2017.
He has caps for the U15 and U16 national teams of England.
