SKE, Rainbow Stars Reach Final Of Aaron Samuel 5-A-Side Tournament
Published: December 15, 2017
The Aaron Samuel 5-a-side football tournament will see the very impressive SKE take on Rainbow Stars in the final at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
In the semifinals decided on Friday, SKE put up a masterful showing to dispatch Mike Boys 4-2.
The latter had taken the lead early in the first period, but SKE rallied to a 4-1 lead, before Mike Boys’ Banigo Israel scored his fourth goal of the tournament, but it wasn’t enough to see his side through to the final.
In the other semifinal, a solitary strike was enough to see Rainbow Stars through at the expense of Ogbunabali.
And as it stands, Banigo Israel is the top scorer with five goals, and is well in the running to win the N100,00 cash prize, even if his side hasn’t made the final.
Others making a play for the top scorer’s reward are Kimi Jeremiah of SKE on four goals, Dickson Joel also of SKE on three goals, while Eze John of Rainbow Stars also has three goals.
The winner of the tournament will go home with N1million.
