Super Eagles Defender Azubuike Egwuekwe Scores Again For SuperSport United
Published: December 17, 2017
Super Eagles defender, Azubuike Egwuekwe got in among the goals as Baroka FC toppled his SuperSport United side in an ABSA Premiership clash on Sunday afternoon.
The towering defender rose highest at the back post to nod in an equaliser in the 52nd minute after Lucky Nguzana had given the Bakgaga the lead with 31 minutes played of the first half.
But his goal would prove scant consolation thereafter as further goals from the opposition's Letladi Madubanya and Mdatsene Mduduzi proved decisive to consign SuperSport United to their third defeat of the league season.
The goal was the 28-year old's second of the PSL topflight campaign as he was on target against Victor Obinna's Cape Town City on game week fourteen.
Next up for SuperSport United is a trip to Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday when they would be looking to improve on their 11th place standing on the table, having garnered 15 points from their 10 matches so far.
