Argentina superstar Lionel Messi says he wants to play in the World Cup final for the second tournament in a row, but stressed that the two-time world champions have to overcome Nigeria, Croatia and Iceland in the group stage first.
The Barcelona number ten was speaking shortly after he was handed the Pichichi (top goalscorer in La Liga) and Di Stefano award, a prize for the best player in the Spanish Leagues.
Asked the possibility of facing Spain in the final of the 2018 World Cup, Messi told Marca : ''It would be something incredible to be able to play in a World Cup final again.
"First we have to think about the group, which is difficult, and then we will see what happens...''
Germany beat Argentina 1-0 in the final of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Super Eagles will face Argentina in both countries final Group D match at Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg on June 26, 2018.
