Published: January 02, 2018
League Two club Cheltenham Town have announced that Nigerian defender Emmanuel Onariase has re-joined the club on loan for the remainder of the 2017-2018 campaign.
Onariase has found playing opportunities limited since signing for League One club Rotherham United in August 2017, with Nigerian trio Semi Ajayi, Josh Emmanuel and Michael Ihiekwe ahead of him in the pecking order of defenders.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Cheltenham Town and scored his first professional goal while with the club.
The London native began his career at Millwall before moving to West Ham United where he spent six years.
He was an influential player for West Ham U23 squad and made the bench for the first-team in their 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League in March 2015.
Cheltenham Town are 17th with 31 points after 26 matches in the division.
