Swiss Super League club FC St.Gallen have confirmed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Miro Muheim following a successful trial.
The 19-year-old attack-minded player has signed a contract with FC St. Gallen until the summer of 2019 with the option of a further commitment.
Born in Zurich, Muheim has departed the Premier League champions, whom he joined in the summer of 2014, without playing a single game for the first-team.
Shortly after the transfer was completed, sporting director of FCSG Alain Sutter told the club's official website : ''With Miro Muheim we have committed a young Swiss player who has a lot of potential.
''He fits in very well with individuals, is physically robust and has developed very well in England in recent years. With us he now has the opportunity to take the next step.''
For the rest of the 2017-2018 season, Miro Muheim will wear the number 21 shirt at FC St. Gallen.
