Mikel Hails Chelsea Ace Hazard For Joining Premier League 200 Club

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has heaped plaudits on Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard following the Belgian attaining 200 league appearances for the London club.

Mikel who will lead his teammates to Nigeria's international friendlies against Poland and Serbia took to his Instagram page to appreciate the job done by the skillful playmaker who reached the milestone in the Blues' 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Hazard has won the Football Writers Association Footballer of the Year and the Professional Football Association Players' Player of the Year gong as well as the Premier League, Europa League and Carabao Cup.

Hazard has now joined the elite club that features John Terry, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, Branislav Ivanovic, Dennis Wise, Didier Drogba, Mikel, Ashley Cole and Gianfranco Zola to reach that number.

"Congratulations to Eden Hazard on joining me in the Chelsea FC 200 club, 200 Premier League appearances, well deserved,'' Mikel wrote on Instagram page on Tuesday.

Hazard is expected to play a pivotal part as Chelsea play against Barcelona in the second leg of the Round of 16 Champions League game on Wednesday night.
