Dad Confirms Prolific Nigerian Striker Has Agreed Two-Year Crystal Palace Deal
Published: April 24, 2018
Tunde Ajayi, the father of young Crystal Palace starlet Josh Ajayi, has confirmed that the striker has agreed a fresh-two year deal with The Eagles ahead of the start of the 2018-2019 campaign.
Thus, the teenager is set to be one of the scholars when Crystal Palace announce their new scholarship intake in the coming months.
Last weekend, Crystal Palace U16 team demolished Millwall 5-1 and Josh Ajayi was the Man of the Match after helping himself to four goals.
''Josh Ajayi is a scholar for the next two years. But already he is playing games for the U18 team and training with the U23s even though he is still 15,'' said Tunde Ajayi to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ajayi will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Nigeria winger Victor Moses, who made his debut for Crystal Palace's first team in November 2007 at the age of sixteen.
He is eligible to represent the national teams of England and Nigeria but he's yet to decide the country to pledge his allegiance to.
