Super Eagles Still Waiting For The Best; Joel Obi, Idowu, Agu, Uche, Simy & Simon In Camp
Published: May 23, 2018Twenty-five players named in Nigeria's preliminary squad list for the 2018 World Cup have arrived the national team's get-together in Uyo.
The latest invitees to be sighted at the the Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort on Wednesday afternoon are Brian Idowu, Joel Obi, Mikel Agu, Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo, Uche Agbo and Moses Simon.
Chelsea right wing-back Victor Moses has been granted permission to join the team not later than Monday, May 28, as recommended by the international governing body of association football, Fifa, through circular number 1578.
The Nigerian Player of the Year suited up for The Blues in their 1-0 win over Manchester United in the final of the Emirates FA Cup last weekend and has to observe a rest period.
Bursaspor defender Abdullahi Shehu, ex-Chelsea star John Obi Mikel, CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa and Hapoel Beer Sheva's John Ogu are the remaining players absent as the time of filing this report.
Ogu has given his word that he will join the team on Thursday, three days after playing his last game for The Camels in the Israeli Premier League.
