Rohr Confirms: Ndidi Ruled Out Of Friendly Vs DRC, Special Training For Chelsea's Moses
Published: May 26, 2018Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will not take part in Nigeria's upcoming friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday, May 28, manager Gernot Rohr has confirmed.
The central midfielder has not been involved in full training with the national team since the start of the training camp as he is still continuing his recovery from a hamstring injury he suffered against Crystal Palace four weeks ago.
Rohr has confirmed the exclusive information earlier reported by this website that Ndidi can only resume full training with the Super Eagles as from this weekend.
Chelsea midfielder Victor Moses will undergo special training when he links up with the squad in the English capital as from May 30.
''We have a programme to do until tomorrow, Ndidi will not play in the PH game against Congo, but we are trying to prepare him for the London game against England,'' Rohr said at Friday's media parley attended by allnigeriasoccer.com.
"We also have a special programme for Victor Moses, who also needed some time out.''
Moses Simon is the main injury worry before the national team's friendly against DR Congo, with the winger still recovering from a thigh complaint.
