The Super Eagles held their final training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday morning ahead of a pre-World Cup friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that young Porto defender Chidozie Awaziem has emerged as the latest injury doubt for the game against the Leopards after suffering a training ground injury.
Awaziem limped out of the practice game after suffering what looks like a foot injury, he had to take off his boots and the medical team wrapped an ice pack to the foot.
The 21-year-old sustained the injury as he was attempting to block a shot from Kelechi Iheanacho and to add insult to injury, the Leicester City striker still scored.
On the other hand, there is positive news as regards to the fitness of Odion Ighalo and William Troost-Ekong, with both players taking part in the full workout having sat out a portion of the training on Friday.
Moses Simon and Wilfred Ndidi are still on the mend and didn't train fully. While the Leicester City midfielder continued his special plan, the Gent winger jogged and worked with the ball.
Torino midfielder Joel Obi completed the full session amid speculation surrounding his fitness.
