Russian Governor Tips Eagles To Reach World Cup Final: 90% Of Their Players Foreign Pros
Published: May 26, 2018The governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov is backing Nigeria to reach the World Cup final and has predicted that they will lose to Russia in the showpiece game.
Vladimirov thinks the three-time African champions will do well at the World Cup because most of the players in their ranks play for top European clubs.
''The team of cooks and all the staff have already visited the territory, determined the cuisine, the regime of residence, delivery, security,'' Vladimirov told TASS Russian News.
''I want the Nigerian national team to reach the finals of the World Cup, but lose in the finals to the Russian team .
''We have visited representatives of many European teams, we believe that this is a great advertising for our resorts.
''And the Nigerian national team is 90% composed of players who play all over the world, so I want people to like the facility, and they would become original advertising agents of the Caucasian Mineral Waters.''
Nigeria's best performance at the World Cup was qualifying for the last sixteen in USA 1994, France 1998 and Brazil 2014, where they lost to Italy, Denmark and France respectively.
