'Nigerian Messi' Inching Closer To Liverpool First Team Debut; Scores Against PSG UYL
Liverpool starlet Bobby Adekanye is inching closer to his first team debut, having trained with the Anfield side during the international break a week ago.

With several Liverpool first-teamers away on international duty, manager Jurgen Klopp invited some of the promising youngsters to join the non-internationals at training, including Adekanye.

The first thing you notice about the ex-Barcelona youth-teamer is his pace and ability to ghost past defenders which makes him a threat in attack playing on the wings and no wonder he has been likened to Lionel Messi in these parts.

The 19-year-old has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the Reds youth team since his arrival at Anfield from PSV in July 2015.

On Tuesday afternoon, Adekanye continued his impressive performance in the UEFA Youth League after helping Liverpool claim a 5-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain at Langtree Park.

Eight minutes before half-time, he finished with his left foot after a great solo run but had to be substituted in the 63rd minute after picking up a yellow card.

Rhys Williams, Rafael Camacho (two) and Curtis Jones were Liverpool's other scorers, while Cawdy Williams and Muinga netted in the second half for the French visitors.
