Nigerian GK Keeps Clean Sheet As Tottenham U18s Score NINE Goals Against Okocha's West Ham
Published: September 23, 2018
Free-scoring Tottenham Hotspur demolished West Ham 9-0 in an U18 Premier League fixture held at Little Heath Sports Ground on Saturday afternoon.
This is the second match in five months that Spurs have scored nine goals without reply in the league against a London club, having defeated Arsenal by the same scoreline in April.
Goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi made his fourth appearance of the season against the Hammers while defender Joshua Okocha started in defense for the home team.
Oluwayemi prevented West Ham's Sebastian Nebyla from finding the net inside 20 minutes before an own goal from Emmanuel Longelo opened the scoring, then Richards made it 2-0.
After the interval, it was all Tottenham Hotspur with Richards, White, Parrott (2), Lloyd-Bennett, Markanday and Clarke registering their names on the score-sheet.
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu as well as Spurs' Jubril Okedina were on the bench for the entirety of the game.
Oluwayemi, who is an England youth international, also posted a shutout against the national champions, Chelsea, last month.
