'A Lot Of Super Eagles Are Experienced Despite Their Young Age' - Aina Pleased To Play With Good Players
Published: October 16, 2018
Chelsea loanee Ola Aina has said that a number of players in the Super Eagles are experienced despite their young age.
Of the eighteen players named in Nigeria's match day squad to face Libya this evening in Sfax, nine are classed as U23 players, including Aina who makes his full competitive debut.
''Even some of the younger players have already earned such experience. There's a lot of players who are experienced despite their young age,'' Aina told Goal.com.
''It is good for my development to be here, this is a vibrant squad. I enjoy the football aspect too.''
Prior to committing his international future at senior level to the Super Eagles ahead of his country of birth, Aina figured for England's U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 teams, and the fullback has appreciated his teammates for making it easy for him to quickly settle into the Nigeria squad.
''Of course, everyone helped to make my transition into the team smooth. It has been very helpful to me. I am enjoying myself every time I join up and I enjoy meeting up with the squad every time.
''To be on the international scene is good for me because I am playing with such good players,'' he concluded.
