Rohr Reacts To Super Eagles Losing Two-Goal Lead Vs Libya Prior To Ighalo's Winner

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has praised the character of his players in the wake of their hard-fought 3-2 win over Libya in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier staged at Stade Taïeb Mhiri on Tuesday evening.
Nigeria seemed to be cruising after taking a two-goal lead through Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa, but the Mediterranean Knights turned the game around after coming from behind to get on level terms thanks to goals from Mohamed Zubya and Ahmad Benali.
The momentum was swinging the way of the Libyans and it needed a real moment of quality from Ighalo to win the game for the Super Eagles with nine minutes remaining.
Speaking post-match, Rohr said : ''I congratulate my team for this victory. It was a huge test of our character. We lost a two-goal lead but fought hard instead of dropping our heads.
''We will stay humble because we have not qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations yet. We keep fighting.''
Nigeria will play their final away game of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers against South Africa at FNB Stadium on 17 November 2018.
