Through a statement on their official website, Bostik League Premier club Carshalton Athletic have announced the signing of London-born central defender of Nigerian descent Taofiq Olomowewe.

The 21-year-old is joining Carshalton Athletic from Evo-Stik Southern Premier South side Hendon and started the season with Bostik Premier club Enfield Town, for whom he scored three goals in 20 appearances.

Olomowewe has been playing for non-league clubs since he parted company with Premier League side Burnley at the end of the 2016-2017 season.

He was spotted by Burnley's talent hunters while representing Nike Academy and was offered a contract in March 2016 after impressing on trial.

Since leaving the Clarets, he has also been on the books of Maldon & Tiptree and Wealdstone.

Olomowewe could make his debut for his new employer when they face Tonbridge Angels on Saturday 29th December.
