Official : Talented Chelsea Goalkeeper Joins Another London Club
Published: January 11, 2019National League club Sutton United have pulled off a transfer coup by signing talented Chelsea academy goalkeeper Karlo Ziger on loan, The U's reported on their official website on Friday morning.
The agreement between both clubs will keep Zigler at the South London club until the end of the 2018-2019 season.
Sutton United have been forced to delve into the transfer market in search for a new goalkeeper as Jamie Butler is injured and Ross Worner is cup-tied in the FA Trophy.
Aged 17, Zigler is a Croatia U17 international and joined Chelsea in July 2017 from NK Zagreb in his homeland.
In his maiden season with The Blues, he featured in the U18 Premier League, U18 Premier League Cup and FA Youth Cup.
1994 Africa Cup of Nations winning striker Efan Ekoku represented Sutton United during the 1989-1990 season.
