Man Utd, Liverpool, Man City, Aston Villa Run The Rule Over Chelsea, Spurs Starlets Of Nigerian Descent
Published: January 17, 2019Premier League, Bundesliga, Italian, Dutch Spanish, Ukrainian and Swiss clubs have sent their scouts to Turkey for the ongoing 2019 Aegean Cup holding in Turkey.
Turkish journalist Serkan Akkoyun has tweeted that talent-spotters representing Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester City are present for the tournament.
Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart have come from Germany while Juventus (Italy), PSV (Netherlands), Villarreal (Spain), Basel (Switzerland) and Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukaraine) are also in attendance.
The mission of these big clubs in Turkey is to run the rule over the top youngsters with a view to a swoop in future.
Two players of Nigerian descent who are both goalkeepers are representing England U16s in the tournament and have been impressive, helping the Young Lions register two wins in their first two matches.
Tottenham Hotspur starlet Tobi Oluwayemi posted a shutout as England defeated Albania 2-0 at Serpil Hamdi Tuzun Sahasi on January 14.
Chelsea goalkeeper Kelechi Chibueze started for England as they hammered Moldova 5-1 on January 15.
One of the two goalkeepers will be in action today when England face Turkey in their last group match.
