Published: March 10, 2019Former Nigeria international Chinedu Obasi scored two goals as AIK beat Oster 4-2 at the Myresjöhus Arena (Vaxjo) to qualify for the semifinals of the Svenska Cupen on Saturday evening.
Due to injury, Obasi missed most of AIK's group matches, playing only once as a substitute against Jonkopings Sodra last month and started yesterday's quarterfinal game on the bench before he was introduced in the 65th minute.
AIK's Daniel Sundgren scored in the 85th minute to make it 2-2 and sent the game into extra time.
On 98 minutes, Obasi made it 3-2 and his second goal arrived in the 109th minute which sent AIK into the last four of the competition.
With those two goals, the former Schalke 04 and Hoffenheim striker now has 14 goals in three different spells with AIK.
In the semifinals of the Svenska Cupen, AIK will meet either AFC Eskilstuna or Halmstad.
