Two Nigerian Goalkeepers Win Their First Major Silverware With Chelsea
Promising Nigerian goalkeeper Kelechi Chibueze has won his first major silverware with Chelsea youth team, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Chelsea claimed the U16 Premier League Cup on Friday evening after beating Arsenal 5-2 in a London derby at Meadow Park.

The 2003-born glovesman was not the only player of Nigerian descent named in the starting line-up, with Daniel Oyegoke and Mazeed Ogungbo also starting for the young Gunners.

Chelsea were 4-1 up at half-time thanks to strikes from Bate, Haigh, Musiala and Peart-Harris while Ogungbo got on the scoresheet for Arsenal.

In the 20th minute, the central defender made it 1-1 with a powerful header from a corner kick, and prevented the opponents from scoring two minutes after the restart by making a crucial tackle.

With the scoreboard reading 4-2 to Chelsea, Chibueze made a big save as the North London side pressed for a third goal which would have set up a nervy end to the game.

Another Nigerian goalkeeper, Prince Adegoke was a non-playing substitute for Chelsea.
