Leicester City's Ndidi Named In Premier League Team Of The Month For March
Published: April 04, 2019
Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi has been named in Whoscored.com's Premier League Team of the Month for March 2019.
The football statistics website monitored the performances of players in the English top flight last month, rating them out of ten, and the Nigeria international, who was the best rated player at 7.86, was selected in central midfield in a 4-4-2 formation.
Ndidi went the distance in the four matches played by the Foxes in March, helping the club record three successive victories against Fulham, Burnley and Bournemouth.
On Ndidi, Josh Wright wrote : ''Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi pips Romain Saiss to the WhoScored Player of the Month award in the Premier League after making more appearances than the Wolves man in March.
''Ndidi made at least 10 more tackles than any other player in the Premier League last month (28) and also won possession in the middle third the most (27). ''
In their next match in the Premier League, Ndidi and his teammates travel to already-relegated Huddersfield Town on Saturday, April 6.
