Official : Ex-Chelsea Striker Of Nigerian Descent Returns To West Ham After Loan Spell
EFL League Two club Oldham Athletic have published their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2018-2019 regular season.

Promising striker Dapo Afolayan is one of five players returning to their parents clubs.

The 21-year-old is owned by Premier League side West Ham United but was loaned out by the Hammers in January 2019 to improve his chances of first-team football.

Afolayan made ten appearances for the Latics in the fourth-tier of English football and was an unused substitute vs Mansfield Town last month.

The former Chelsea and Barnet youth-teamer has yet to make his competitive debut for West Ham since his celebrated move in February 2018 but has played several games for their U23 side.

Meanwhile, young central midfielder Chinedu Uche has been released by Oldham Athletic, four days after making his professional debut for the club.
