Should Arsenal Youngster Consider Move To Bayern Munich; Three Factors That Could Influence His Decision
Published: May 29, 2019
Xavier Amaechi was an integral part of Arsenal U23 side this season despite suffering an injury which ruled him out of action for three months.
Luckily, the time he spent on the sideline didn't really affect his performance as he managed to score some breathtaking goals for Freddie Ljungberg's side at the latter stages of the campaign.
His awesome show of skills and intelligence at both flanks caught the attention of Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, who are reportedly chasing after his signature.
The Bavarians are eyeing a possible move for the 18-year-old winger as part of their mission to find capable replacements for departing stars Robben and Ribéry.
Leaving Arsenal for Bayern Munich is a huge progress for the young and lively winger but he needs to consider some factors before finalizing his decision.
1. Regular Game-time
This is the first factor the Nigeria-eligible star must consider before reaching a final decision as regards to Bayern's proposed offer.
He must negotiate his way past Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry before he can be a regular starter at Allianz Arena. A mission which looks very difficult for an inexperienced youngster.
Changing environment for the first time in many years may be very challenging for Amaechi and it could affect his form next season.
He must take time to consider if he has all it takes to seamlessly settle down in a new team with different style of play.
3. Media Hype
Arsenal will definitely want to receive huge money from Bayern, hence, it is inevitable that there will be pressure from the media to see him live up to expectations. Can he cope with media hype?
Amaechi must provide an answer to this question before he can eventually decide whether to accept or ignore Bayern's approach.
