Official : Exciting Nigerian Prospect Signs New Deal At Manchester United
Published: July 16, 2019Premier League giants Manchester United have finally announced their new intake of Academy scholars for the 2019-2020 season., and it includes a player eligible to represent the Nigerian national teams.
Exciting winger cum striker Ayodeji Sotona is part of the group as previously reported by allnigeriasoccer.com.
Born in Waterford, Republic of Ireland, he has penned scholarship forms after impressing for United's U16 team over the course of the 2018-2019 campaign.
Sotona made his competitive debut for Manchester United U18 side against Newcastle United in an U18 Premier League match on March 16, 2019.
He was part of the academy stars that traveled to Austria for a training camp which ended last weekend.
Another Nigeria-eligible striker in Dillon Hoogewerf is believed to have agreed a scholarship but the Red Devils have not confirmed this deal yet because they have not received his international clearance.
