New West Brom signing Semi Ajayi made his home debut as the Baggies were held to a goalless draw by Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly at the Hawthorns on Friday evening.
Manager Slaven Bilić was pleased with his side's performance and the Nigeria international was among the new players singled out for special praise.
''It’s a shame that we didn't score a few goals tonight, but I am very pleased with the performance,'' Bilic said to West Brom's official website.
''In the dressing room they are very positive and very optimistic.
''The new players did well, all of them. Semi Ajayi did excellent… Filip (Krovinović) did really well, they all trust him.''
Ajayi, who has been handed the number six jersey, went the distance against the Cherries while Flying Eagles star Nnamdi Ofoborh started for the visitors.
