Breaking : West Ham GK Lands In Abuja Ahead Of First Training Session With Nigeria U17s
Published: August 20, 2019
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu has ended speculation over his international future by linking up with the Golden Eaglets at their training camp in Abuja, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
The 2002-born player landed in Nigeria on Tuesday and will take part in his first training session with the Golden Eaglets tomorrow.
The Nigerian Federation contacted Premier League club West Ham vide a letter dated August 2 with reference number NFF/GEN/TECH/203/Vol. III requesting for the release of Jinadu for Nigeria U17 Men's Team Trials.
Coach Manu Garba and his assistants will certainly be pleased to have the highly-rated goalkeeper in camp as that department was one of the problem areas during the U17 AFCON and regional qualifiers, with the team conceding 13 goals in total.
Born in Nigeria, Jinadu has caps for England's U15 and U16 national teams but he's not provisionally cap-tied to the European nation as the caps were earned in friendly matches.
He was named in West Ham U23 match day squad when they faced Newcastle United in the Premier League 2 on Saturday, August 17.
