Liverpool Loanee Ejaria Scores Brilliant Goal For Reading Vs Ajayi's West Brom
Published: August 21, 2019
Former Nigeria U17 invitee Ovie Ejaria registered his name on the scoresheet as Reading and West Brom shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in a Championship match staged at The Hawthorns on Wednesday night.
Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi, a summer signing from Rotherham United, went the distance for the fourth consecutive league game, while Ejaria played the full ninety for the first time this season.
In the 25th minute, the visitors had a chance to open the scoring but George Pușcaș narrowly missed the target with a shot after an instinctive pass from Ejaria.
With 19 minutes left on the clock, the Liverpool loanee opened the scoring with a brilliant shot from just outside the box.
Two minutes from time, West Brom were awarded a penalty when Ejaria fouled Krovinović and Zohore scored from the penalty spot to rescue a point for the home team.
With the draw, Reading are fifteenth on the Championship table with four points while West Brom are sixth with eight points accumulated after four matches.
