Super Eagles Coach Rohr Receives Good News From Italy Ahead Of Brazil Friendly
Published: September 19, 2019Nigeria have been handed an injury boost ahead of their international friendly against Brazil next month, with Udinese star William Troost-Ekong back in contention to face the South American powerhouse.
Udinese have informed via their official website that the central defender has resumed full training with his teammates and participated in the double session on Wednesday from start to finish.
The medical update from the Bianconeri will be sweet music to the ears of Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr as he is expected to announce his roster for the friendly against Brazil within the next eleven days.
The German had been sweating on the fitness of Troost-Ekong, after he was forced to leave the Dnipro Arena turf in the closing minutes of the friendly against Ukraine with muscle fatigue.
And as a result of the ailment, he missed Udinese's last Serie A match against Inter Milan last weekend.
Meanwhile, Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is set to return to the Super Eagles squad having recovered from a hamstring complaint while Benfica's Tyronne Ebuehi is still listed as out.
Brazil and Nigeria will do battle at the National Stadium in Singapore on October 13.
