Three players of Nigerian descent were in action for Manchester City in the UEFA Youth League matchday two fixture against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.
Republic of Ireland youth-team goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu and England U18 defender Nathanael Ogbeta played the full game for the Citizens, and they were joined on the pitch by former Nigeria U20 invitee Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the 46th minute.
Croatian sports daily Sportske Novosti has reported that a lot of scouts were present at the Academy Stadium in Manchester to watch the UEFA Youth League game, including Goran Vucevic, who is one of four Barcelona scouts for Europe.
The newspaper identified Joška Gvardiola, Antonija Marina and Tomislava Krizmanica as possible targets for Barcelona.
Manchester City struck a pair of first half goals through Thomas Doyle and Adrian Bernabe, and a brace from Sipos earned the visitors a point.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is regarded highly at Manchester City and has trained with their first team and the same goes for Ogbeta and Bazunu who were part of pre-season squads in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
